"Rwanda, A Loveable Nation"
On the 25th January 2021, The Rwanda High Commission in New Delhi in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Culture, Government of Rwanda and the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), India, organised a zoom webinar under the theme "Rwanda, A Loveable Nation".
The webinar offered Rwanda the opportunity to showcase its culture in the form of songs, dances and drums. Various songs of the Rwanda National Ballet, Urukerereza, were performed to entertain the participants. The event served to promote tourism and detail investment and business opportunities in Rwanda.
In his presentation, the Director General of the Rwanda Cultural Heritage Academy, Amb. Robert Masozera, detailed elements of Rwanda’s cultural heritage including language and cultural values, creative arts, museums and heritage sites, archive and library services. He also indicated the areas in which Indians can expand their investments in relation to the Agreement on the cultural exchange between Rwanda and India.
The Head of Film Office at RDB, Teta Ndejuru, presented Rwanda Film Office project and Rwanda’s vision to become the new filming hub and most filming friendly country in the region and in Africa.
The High Commissioner of Rwanda in New Delhi was the keynote speaker at the event. In her remarks, she invited participants to visit Rwanda for investment, tourism, business or other activities. Videos on Tourism (National Parks and Museums in Rwanda) and investment opportunities in Rwanda were also presented.
